I do lots of singing and Science is important in understanding this.
For example, you may have been taught about breathing properly and controlling your voice – this is to do with breathing very deeply, filling the whole chest space and being able to control a slow exhale whilst singing. This all comes from an understanding of human anatomy.
Also if you do stretches before warming up this can increase oxygen to the muscles you might be using whilst singing and help them to work better.
Keep up the singing! Did you know that it is associated with good health? Scientists have shown that singing is associated with lower blood pressure, lower stress hormones, lower heart rate!
They show you the different frequency you’re producing so you can SEE exactly the sound you are singing, So if you want to develop a deeper, higher, boarder voice you can practice and SEE what it is your singing looks like

And there are now lots of android and apple apps that do spectrograms for your phone.
