• Question: Can frogs live in salt water?

      Absolutely yes 🙂

      There’s a special frog, the “crab-eating frog” (Rana cancrivora) that lives in mangrove swamps in Asia, but it’s the only frog we know about that can stand salty water!

      Yes there are frogs that live in salt water.

      They are called crab-eating frogs. They have special skin which stops them from drying out in salt water and allows them to survive in these environments. They are also able to absorb urea from their bladder too (humans can’t do this) which helps them to not dry out too.

      They’re very clever creatures!
