Question: do other people find your work interesting because its an unusual job, and its to do with sea animals?

  I think most people are interested in my job because it’s not an obvious choice!
  
  Lots of animal-lovers end up studying biology, becoming vets or pharmacists. Sciencey people often end up with their head in chemical equations and maths.
  
  But It’s pretty awesome to have a bit of both, lots of sea animals, some really cool travel with a bit of a science question thrown in!
  
  I love it so much, and I didn’t have to study anything specific to get here – just show some passion for our environment 🙂
