      There are a lot of myths and legends about this sort of thing. Often the disappearance of ships and aircraft in that area is explained by supernatural or extra-terrestrial activities. I don’t think that there is any evidence for that sort of thing so I don’t believe in it.

      That doesn’t necessarily mean that some weird natural phenomenon isn’t going on though! There have been theories to do with:
      Compass issues
      Bad weather
      Strong currents
      Methane eruptions under water

      Some or all of those might be especially bad in the Bermuda triangle area and cause a larger number of accidents?

      Having said that, there doesn’t seem to be much evidence for there actually being more accidents that there are anywhere else! Some of the stories seem to be made up and some of them don’t happen anywhere near where the triangle is supposed to be!

      So my theory is that it doesn’t really exist, there is a lot of media coverage of anything that happens near there, so people THINK there is something going on, but actually no more accidents happen there than anywhere else in the world!
