      Hi islamg1999!

Funny you should ask that, I was recently diagnosed with anaemia so I’ve been looking into it myself.

Some major disadvantages is that if you’re anaemic, you’re probably feeling tired and may be fainting. It makes every day life a little bit harder. They’ve also found a link between anaemia and depression – so it may be that the tiredness can you feeling deflated and more unhappy. Luckily, it’s pretty easy to treat with iron supplements or injections.

      Some advantages….?
Some scientists found that people with “sickle-cell anaemia” in Africa can’t get malaria! Now that’s a pretty big advantage!

It’s a very manageable condition though. I changed my diet – so I eat more meat (I used to not eat much meat) and have iron tablets!
