      I may have answered this very quickly on your webchat this morning but this gives me more chance to explain here!

      I thought that children’s reactions to divorce would have changed over the past 50 years because it would become less stigmatising, attitudes have changed a lot towards marriage and divorce, and you are more likely to have the support of other people who have also experienced parental divorce.

      However I actually found that it has changed over the last 50 years – which was a bit surprising but also really not a good thing because more children have experienced divorce. I’m not sure how to explain this yet…
