      Hi smithryan

I have been in Science since leaving school really. I did Science A-levels and then did a Science degree at University and for Masters and for PhD!! Phew!!

So it has taken me 13 years since doing my GCSEs to get to where I am now doing my own research. Quite a long while!! But I did do a couple of faffy things in between universities so it has taken longer because of that.

I’m an Engineer, so some people might not count that as the science industry, but I do! I studied Engineering for four years at University after my A-Levels and then worked for about 6 years in science/engineering after that. I’ve now done about 2 years of being PhD student back at University again, so I guess in total about 12 years?

I did science at university from 2005, so I guess it’s been 7 years now!

I haven’t achieved my goal yet, which is to become a Dr (from my PhD) and work in a museum 🙂
