I changed my job a couple of years ago – so yes!

I’m still an Engineer though, I just research different things. There are so many different interesting things out there to investigate that it can be hard to decide on just one. I like what I’m doing now, but I don’t know if I’ll carry on doing it for ever. Even outside of science there are lots of interesting and fun jobs that I might consider!

No I love my current job so I wouldn’t change it.

I am currently working at University College London as a Research Associate (this means that I am working with a group of scientists on a single project and I do most of the day-to-day research, whilst others advise on what I find and how to do it). We are currently investigating how men and women combine work and family responsibilities and how it affects their health. It’s really cool and very relevant for what the government is interested in at the moment.

I’m a PhD student, which is only a 3 or 4 year job (you have to submit all your findings at that point) – so I’ll have to change my job in 1 or 2 years time!

I’ve been a student since I was 5 (like you!) and after 20 years of learning, I’m ready to start teaching or passing on some of what I know into another career. I’m going to be an exciting (and scary) point in my life soon, where I decide what new direction I’m going in….. got any ideas for me?!
